– I will tell you a recent case: recently, clients who want to buy a commercial property, but have certain questions about it, – says Gryhorii Tripulskyi. – I told them what we can do: raise all the documents and prepare a conclusion on whether it is safe to buy this property, and what the risks may be. It often happens that a person purchased real estate without consulting a lawyer and got stuck in a lawsuit for years. Legal due diligence before buying is a preventive measure, it is cheaper, faster and helps to avoid problems in the future.

At the end of the broadcast, Grigory Tripulsky told how to choose a lawyer, even if you are a lawyer yourself:

  • specialization. For example, if the first in the list of specializations of a person is criminal law, it is hardly advisable to contact him with a request to purchase a real estate object;
  • experience and reputation: when a lawyer has been working in this market for many years, he will not disappear the next day after receiving an advance payment;
  • recommendations and reviews of friends and acquaintances;
  • money factor: the price of services should not be too low or too high.
