“DE-JURE” at the Odesa Legal Business Forum

Last week, a bright event took place in Odessa – the IV Odesa Legal Business Forum.

The company “DE-JURE” acted as a partner of the session “Legal Business in the Real Field: Between Principles and Survival”, and our Artem Ripenko – an expert of this interesting part of the Forum.

They talked about the complex relations between the legal business and the authorities, corruption and the role of lawyers in the restoration of Ukraine.

• Corruption exists – it’s no secret. But the fight against it often turns into a political slogan.
• The legal business should not be part of “schemes”, but an engine of change: participation in reforms, advocacy, control over the authorities.
• During the restoration of Ukraine, lawyers should supervise the processes, protect public interests and fight for justice.
• It is necessary to change not only the internal system, but also international law: punishment of the aggressor, reparations, confiscation of assets.

Passivity will not change anything. It is time to act!
