Investing in real estate: advice for investors

The new issue of “Yurydychna Gazeta” has published two articles by the head of the real estate and construction practice of the company “DE-JURE”, lawyer Ivan Topor, with an emphasis on practical advice for investors who want to invest in construction.

The real estate market in Ukraine has potential even during the war, so for an investor this is a chance to enter at a lower price and receive income after the facility is put into operation. However, it all depends on the legal model of raising funds. What are the options and main risks for developers and investors, Ivan Topor analyzes in the article “Investments in real estate for development: how to register an investor’s entry”.

The second article “Stopping construction: an algorithm of actions for a lawyer” is devoted to the actions of an investor in the event of a stoppage of construction and offers a step-by-step solution to the problem for a lawyer under any model of relations between the investor and the developer.

As Ivan Topor writes, the key principle is to quickly record violations, protect the client’s assets, and simultaneously conduct several tracks – claims-litigation, regulatory, and public-communication (with investor consolidation).
