Case: return of a car
A penalty zone is a conditional area in a legal context that denotes a set of consequences or sanctions applied to a person for violating a law or obligation.
One late evening, for reasons unknown to our client, the police seized his car and moved it to a towing yard. The man turned to the law firm “DE-JURE” to help us figure out what was happening and return the much-needed vehicle as soon as possible.
“We filed motions and inquiries to clarify the circumstances of the seizure,” said the head of the litigation practice, attorney Yuriy Kostinyuk. “It turned out that the car had been in an accident that morning, and although our client was ready to immediately take responsibility for it, the victim said he was feeling fine and hurried about his business. Later, he went to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fracture, and the victim called the cause of the accident a hit by a car. Indeed, the police can take away the car that caused the accident by the decision of the investigator, and then the court decides whether to arrest the car or leave it in the penalty area for a long time.
Thanks to the intervention of the law firm “DE-JURE”, the car was returned to its owner in the shortest possible time. Neither our client nor the person he accidentally hit with the car have any claims against each other.
