How to Make Business Inclusive and Why It’s Important

Recently, representatives of the law firm “DE-JURE” joined as speakers the educational grant program for veterans and families of military personnel “Trajectory 2” at the Diya.Business center in Odessa.

Head of the real estate and construction practice, attorney, candidate of law Ivan Topor and attorney Dimitrii Strichenko told entrepreneurs why inclusion is important and how businesses can implement inclusive practices. Currently, this topic is extremely relevant due to the growing number of veterans and civilians with special needs, who can be both clients and employees.

The event covered the following issues:

  • how a business can prepare a plan for implementing inclusive standards in business in accordance with the legislation
  • how to determine whether a business complies with legal requirements for accessibility
  • how to create an accessible environment for customers and employees with disabilities
  • how to improve working conditions for people with disabilities
  • how to adapt space, work processes, and customer service format to inclusive standards

In particular, at the lecture “Legal aspects of accessibility: accessibility for people with disabilities and inclusive working conditions,” our colleagues discussed the legal aspects of registration, legalization, and other practical details. Norms and laws related to the implementation of inclusiveness were also not ignored. And at the end, Dimitriy Strichenko and Ivan Topor answered questions from visitors.
