How to extend the deferral from mobilization?
Deferral from mobilization is a temporary exemption from the obligation to serve in the military under certain circumstances stipulated by law. It can be granted for health reasons, family circumstances, or professional activities.
A person must declare his right to a deferral from mobilization to the CCC or the SP, and according to existing legislation, repeat this every 90 days if the reason for the deferral has not disappeared (for example, a student was expelled from a higher education institution or a child of a father with many children reached his 18th birthday).
It was assumed that thanks to the automatic interaction of the reserves, information should be sent to the SP and CCC for checks, but currently the system is operating in test mode for certain categories of citizens.
Thus, conscripts who are entitled to a deferral submit a paper application every three months for the registration or extension of the deferral, and the CCC and SP collect and process these applications manually. How this happens, told the lawyer of the law company “DE-YURE” Larisa Kis.
✔️ an application for the extension of the deferral can be drawn up in any form;
✔️ no attachments to the application are provided, and if the Joint Service and the CCC cannot independently verify the grounds, they must notify of the need to provide supporting documents;
✔️ an application for an extension of the deferment period can be submitted before the expiration of the previously established deadline;
✔️ some categories of military conscripts (students, graduate students) can already submit applications electronically, through Reserve+.
If there is no response from the Joint Service and the CCC, and the draft deadline in the Reserve+ application has not changed to February 2025, you must submit the application again.
