Justice for Ukraine: Artem Ripenko attended an important RD4U event

A partner of the company “DE-JURE”, Doctor of Laws, lawyer Artem Ripenko took part in an important event organized by the Register of Damages for Ukraine in Kyiv. During the meeting of the Coordination Platform of the Register with the management and members of the Register Council, key aspects of submitting applications from individuals were discussed, in particular, regarding evidence, resolving the issue of admissibility of applications and their inclusion in the Register. New categories of applications, recently opened for submission, regarding damages related to personal integrity, as well as forced internal displacement, were presented.

– The event was an opportunity to directly communicate with the Register Council, the Executive Director and other members of the Register team – experienced specialists in the field of international law and reparations, – noted Artem Ripenko. – They are the ones who make direct decisions regarding the work of the Register, and politicians listen to them.

The six new categories cover a huge number of victims of the Russian aggression and our common task is to create an environment and help increase the number of substantiated applications in the Register. Representatives of the public sector, professional lawyers should play a significant role in this, because a large number of victims still do not understand the principles and mechanisms of the register, do not have an answer to the question “why is this for me?”.

In addition to the opportunity to receive individual compensation, all applications submitted to the Register will create political pressure that cannot be ignored, and this is the path to justice.
