The Cabinet of Ministers has increased compensation for businesses in frontline regions

The war risk insurance program, which began operating on January 1 of this year, has been expanded. Now, compensation for property damaged as a result of the Russian military aggression in frontline regions (Odessa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions) has been increased to UAH 30 million. In other regions, insurance premium compensation has been increased to UAH 3 million.

The government has also abolished the norm according to which the amount of compensation was reduced by the amount of previously received grants or other state support.

Enterprises that have already submitted applications have the opportunity to clarify them by May 1, 2026. In particular, to increase the declared amount of possible losses or add other property to the application if it was included in the program on the date of damage or destruction.
