New war damage compensation program for businesses: how to get up to ₴10 million from the state
A new state war risk compensation program for enterprises has been launched in Ukraine since January 1. It primarily supports small and medium-sized businesses operating in regions located up to 50 km from the front line and with an increased risk of property damage or destruction. Currently, this program will only be valid for those businesses that suffered losses after January 1, 2026 (and that have joined the program in advance). Two mechanisms — compensation of up to ₴10 million for damaged property and reimbursement of up to ₴1 million in insurance costs per year — make it possible to significantly reduce the financial burden on businesses. However, successful compensation depends on proper legal support, which is why we encourage you to contact the DE-JURE law firm today. By the way, the company’s partner Artem Ripenko recently entered the TOP-100 leading lawyers of Ukraine in 2026 precisely for the practice of recording and compensating for losses caused by the war. Our comprehensive legal support includes:
- a preliminary audit of the company’s compliance with the program criteria;
- analysis of the optimal asset protection strategy and program selection;
- coordination of work with appraisers and quality control of reports;
- preparation of a full package of documents in compliance with all formal requirements;
- support of the procedure in the Agency and interaction with state authorities;
- legal support in case of refusal and appeal of decisions;
- consultations on choosing an insurer and checking the terms of insurance contracts.
Properly prepared documentation, timely recording of damage, correct interaction with appraisers and the Agency are key conditions for obtaining state support.
